Jo has just completed the third edition of Career in you Suitcase which she describes as a complete re-write including interviews with new contacts and lots of new information. Listen to an interview with Jo Parfitt by Jeff Porter, The Ausmerican about Jo’s third editition of the popular expat’ reference; Career in your Suitcase. The Trailing Spouse Network talkcast on June 5th features an interview with Jo where we talk about the book. She sets the scene by describing her experience as a trailing spouse in five countries and her ever changing career direction, making the most of situations and exploring opportunities. We talk about what she describes as “Finding your Passion”, looking inward to find what you like to do and are good at and looking outward to exploit those interests and skills. Networking, both face-to-face and via the internet is another common and important theme covered by Jo. She stresses the importance of building local as well as [...]
