Why didn’t Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. give an “I have a Plan” speech? According to Simon Sinek, it’s because “People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it”. Dr. King’s message leading up to his famous speech on the Capitol Mall in 1963 wasn’t a direction of what was needed to be done at that time, it wasn’t an action plan,  it was a consistent message of ‘here’s what I believe’.
